Bengaluru-based digital media startup EloElo Group has raised $80 million in Series C financing, valuing the fast-growing entertainment company at $500 million. The EloElo Series C funding will support original serialized microdrama production on its flagship Story TV app while commercializing Dolphin AI, the company’s proprietary generative video production platform.

Co-led by investment firm Hornbill Capital and global media conglomerate NBCUniversal, the financing round also included participation from MIT Investment Management Company alongside existing backers Play Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Waterbridge Ventures, and Griffin Gaming Partners. The $80 million capital injection brings EloElo’s total funding raised to $130 million across all venture rounds. Employing 240 full-time staff members, the company plans to allocate a substantial portion of the new capital toward expanding its artificial intelligence and machine learning research teams.
Across the consumer Technology and mobile entertainment landscape, serialized microdramas—short vertical episodes lasting one to two minutes with cliffhanger storylines—have emerged as a high-growth alternative to traditional streaming television. Across its portfolio of mobile applications, EloElo now reaches more than 40 million monthly active users and has surpassed 300 million cumulative application installs. Its flagship microdrama platform, Story TV, accounts for the vast majority of that audience engagement with over 33 million monthly active viewers across multiple regional languages.
Scaling Dolphin AI for End-to-End Video Production
A central pillar of the EloElo Series C funding strategy is the broader commercial rollout of Dolphin AI, an agentic studio suite originally developed as an internal tool to speed up episodic video production. According to the company, Dolphin AI combines structured editing templates with specialized generative models capable of synthesizing visual scenes, background soundtracks, expressive voiceovers, and localized video variations. Using the platform allows production teams to compress scripting, storyboarding, and post-production timelines while maintaining consistent visual quality across diverse linguistic markets.
Beyond producing vertical dramas for Story TV, EloElo plans to open Dolphin AI to external consumer brands and digital marketers for automated advertising and promotional campaign production. In addition to Story TV, the company operates Master, a mobile application focused on bite-sized skill learning through vertical video lessons, as well as the conversational companion app Voxy AI. Sharing underlying generative infrastructure across all three consumer apps enables rapid experimentation with interactive storytelling formats and personalized media recommendations.
Competing in the Global Short-Form Drama Boom
Investor enthusiasm for mobile microdramas has accelerated globally as smartphone audiences increasingly favor snackable, mobile-first narratives over hour-long series during daily commutes and short breaks. Having NBCUniversal join Hornbill Capital as a co-lead investor gives EloElo strategic ties to global entertainment distribution, studio production expertise, and intellectual property management as it explores international markets beyond India’s domestic audience base.
Sustaining audience growth at a $500 million valuation will require balancing low-cost artificial intelligence production workflows with compelling human storytelling that keeps viewers subscribing after free introductory episodes. By pairing a 33-million-user distribution channel on Story TV with an in-house generative studio in Dolphin AI, EloElo is positioning itself at the forefront of mobile social entertainment and automated media production.
